Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Deficiency Technician to join our team in Victoria, BC. This role is vital to ensuring our homeowners receive the high-quality experience Aragon is known for. As a key member of the Customer Service team, you will be responsible for identifying and resolving construction deficiencies, managing warranty claims, and maintaining effective communication with homeowners and trade partners.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough inspections of completed homes to identify and document deficiencies.
• Perform hands-on repairs and coordinate with trade partners for specialized corrections.
• Meet with homeowners in their homes in order to understand their claims.
• Manage and resolve homeowner warranty claims in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
• Provide clear and timely updates to homeowners regarding the status of their claims and repairs.
• Ensure all deficiencies are addressed efficiently and with a high standard of craftsmanship.
• Maintain accurate records of deficiencies, completed work, and homeowner interactions.
• Communicate and collaborate with the Customer Service Manager to prioritize tasks and address urgent issues.
• Conduct follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to warranty standards.
• Stay current on local building codes, warranty guidelines, and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Skills
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, home finishing, or a related field, with a strong understanding of deficiency resolution and warranty processes.
• Self-sufficient, proactive, and able to work independently to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong technical skills and hands-on experience in addressing deficiencies, including carpentry, drywall, painting, and minor repairs.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with homeowners, trade partners, and internal teams professionally.
• Knowledge of BC building codes and warranty standards is essential.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to various sites as required.
