The Victoria Heart House is a two level, 6-bedroom, non-profit B & B that serves as a “home-away-from-home” for patients and family members coming to Victoria for open heart and other cardiovascular surgeries or procedures. The Heart House offers a friendly, supportive, and relaxing environment located just steps to the Royal Jubilee Hospital.
Seeking a mature, compassionate, reliable individual with excellent people skills to provide a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Must have the ability to work independently.
Regular part-time Saturday and Sunday position 6 hours per day. Shifts are rotating from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm or 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Coverage for sick days, stat and vacation days during the week.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Responding to telephone and email enquires
Booking guests on computerized reservation system (training will be provided)
Checking guests in and out
Preparing a light breakfast
Daily housekeeping, ie. changing bedding, cleaning rooms, laundry, cleaning bathrooms, etc.
Starting wage: $19.00 per hour.
