I have here a compact, open-source synth module that runs on USB C power.
I wanted to try out some of the Mutable Instruments sounds (Mainly Rings but also Plaits and Braids) It works well but this does not really fit into my setup. I have only used it with MIDI and it works fine.
I purchased it from a fellow in Germany Via Etsy.
Here is his description:
Marvelous is a tiny (90x65 mm) synth with midi or cv control of several modules from Mutable Instruments, https://pichenettes.github.io/mutable-instruments-documentation/ - Plaits (1.2), Rings and Braids. It's open hardware and software. For more details and audio examples, https://poetaster.org/marvelous
With 100 + synth engines from Mutable's plaits (1.2), rings and braids, it's a very handy companion to my keep mini modular or just to play air harp with using my spires arp synth to produce midi. You can also just connect a midi keyboard via the 3.5 mm (Arturia style) midi jack. The audio out is 48khz, 16 bit and sounds great.
I built marvelous to speed up development work on my arduino ports of the mutable modules, a tool, so to speak. Of course, it could be used for any kind of synth project!
Since the firmware is made with arduino, it's simple to modify.
At it's core it's a raspberry pi pico 2 and 16bit 48kHz audio DAC. The small display is on the tiny end but readable and displays the primary parameters of each voice. The params are tweaked with button encoder knobs on the right (a/b/c) and switching modules or voices is done with the meta encoder on the upper left. The cv design is kept simple and control voltages are protected with a simple resistor and diode clamp circuit. The midi input is a standard (opto-coupler) design. The audio output can drive headphones.
I will include an DIN-to-TRS adaptor for MIDI type B.
Trades, hmm.
Maybe you have a powered MIDI USB Hub to trade?
Look at my other listings and maybe we can bundle some things together.
I'm mainly looking for hardware synths like a Novation Peak.
