Bahnamnn Timber in the Cowichan Valley has seven, 10 ft long Rock Elm logs which we have no need of at this time. The logs have some curve to them, and will provide beautiful 4 to 6 ft long lumber. We will custom mill these into whatever dimensions needed, charging only for milling time, not the logs. Expected yield will be approx. 1000 bd ft. Milling time is dependent on dimensions. "Rock Elm wood, derived from the Ulmus thomasii tree, is known for its exceptional strength, hardness, and durability, making it a valuable timber. It's the hardest and heaviest of all elms and was historically used in a wide range of applications, including boatbuilding, furniture, agricultural tools, and musical instruments."
