My name is Peter Brunette, and my academic qualifications include a B.A. from Simon Fraser University and an M.A. from the University of British Columbia. I have an extensive base of knowledge and skills, which I have successfully passed on to hundreds of students. Whether your goal is to improve your writing or to deepen your understanding of course subjects, I can offer individualized tutoring geared to your specific needs.
Many of my pupils have English as a second language (ESL), and I have assembled a varied inventory of resources to help them improve their language skills, up to and including complete courses in English conversation, writing, and grammar, as well as accent reduction.
I work primarily with adults, including college and university students. However, I also accept students in Grades 10, 11, and 12, provided that they are motivated and self-disciplined.
Tutoring appointments are conducted at my office, which is located in Victoria, BC, near the corner of McKenzie Avenue and Quadra Street. An appointment can last for a minimum of one hour and a maximum of two hours. The fee is $40 per hour.
I have successfully tutored students and coached them on their written assignments in many subject areas, including the following:
• Political Science
• TOEFL, IELTS, GED, SAT, and ACT
