Location:
-Victoria (Westshore Town Centre)
Shifts and Hours:
-Sunday 2:00pm to 5:00pm
-Saturday 9:00am to 5:00pm
-24-hour live in shifts; 3 days a week, one weekend per month
-Start Fridays at 9:00am to Monday at 9:00am
Compensation:
-$29.00 per hour probationary period and $30 per hour afterwards
-$360 per day for 24-hour live in shifts
Responsibilities (but not limited to):
-Assist with dressing, bathing, showering, and personal hygiene
-Assist with medication administration
-Daily outings in your vehicle to do shopping, errands, leisure, swimming, or lunch
-Meal preparation
-Laundry and light housekeeping
-The employer is prone to verbal outbursts when she is confused or irritated; She is calmed quickly with reassurance and redirecting.
-The employer is a smoker
Qualifications:
-Experience with dementia and redirection (preferred)
-Experience with brain injury care (preferred)
-Must have a Class 5 Driver's License and personal vehicle(with proper insurance)
-Willing to take employer for outings in your personal vehicle
-Must be comfortable working in an environment with a pet cat
-Able to swim and support employer while she is swimming (preferred)
-Companionship experience (preferred)
-Willing to be trained
-Must be okay working in an environment where the employer is a smoker
