What is a resinous painting? It's not so much a painting as a creation; resin art is created when an epoxy resin is combined with various colour pigments and additives to produce a blend of unique patterns and textures. The resin mixture gradually hardens (when mixed with a hardener) to a solid plastic as a chemical reaction between its components takes place.
This is a beautiful example by a Vancouver Island artist whom we commissioned to create this piece a number of years ago, and can best be described as a nebula/galaxy style. Truly unique and, at 6” x 4” and with colorful purples, blues, greens, reds, metallics, etc, it looks fantastic on a bright wall.
Unfortunately it longer works for us due to home renovations, so let this beautiful piece be your gain. Commissioned for $2500, we just want to find a good home for it.
